You will have the opportunity to build 1 of 4 custom robot frames along with attachments. The robot frames are easy and should not take more than a couple of days. The bulk of the time will be spent building attachments and programming. Here are the new groups:

Group 1 Alexa Pope Alexandra Johnson Sean Hall Haynes Davis Group 2 Sam Grazzini Kyle Bennett Gavin Fox Stephanie Venice Selena Escobar On Monday, April 16th, we will talk about the club, hand out equipment and begin sorting out parts. On Tuesday, we will begin building the basic robot. Remember, we do not meet this Wednesday the 18th. Next week, we will continue building on Monday and Wednesday (no meeting Tuesday the 24th). Our hope is to have most of the basic robot built by the 25th so we can start programming on the 30th. If we need to take a couple of more days to build, thats fine. I hope you all are excited to start the club up again! Mr. Osweiler SPRING ROBOTICS CLUB
During the course of the program we will do a number of different activities. We will begin learning engineering skills and will build a basic Lego robot. Next we will learn how to program and change the robot’s movement. Then we will introduce the different tasks and challenges for teams to complete. In order to participate and remain in the club, you MUST meet the following guidelines: -Students must maintain no less than an S in Conduct and Work Habits in school -Students must maintain a C average in all classes -Students must have 2 teacher recommendation signatures (past, present, classroom, specialist, etc) Registration will run from April 10th-13th. Space is limited for this club. Currently, we have 18 spots available. If the number of applications exceeds 18th, we will conduct a lottery. You will be notified via email on Friday, April 13th if you are in the club and the roster will be posted on the Robotics webpage. We understand that students are involved in other activities (Running Club, Music Club, Science Olympiad, Tutoring, etc) that may meet on one or more of these days. Students are welcome to sign up for Robotics and are encouraged to continue to participate in those other activities. Having other commitments will not hurt a student’s chances of getting in robotics. A child may attend 1, 2, or all 3 days based on their availability. Students should NOT quit or cancel other activities to join robotics. Please fill out the registration form and return it to Mr. Osweiler no later than April 13th. We expect spaces to fill up quickly so do not wait! If you have any questions, email Mr. Osweiler at osweilrm@pwcs.edu or visit the Robotics page by going to http://trianglees.schools.pwcs.edu , clicking the “For Students” link at the top, and selecting the “Robotics” page.
